Service Overview
The Plaquemines Parish Ferry System connects residents, commuters, and visitors across the Mississippi River with daily service between Belle Chasse, Scarsdale, Pointe à la Hache, and Port Sulphur.
Our ferries provide safe, reliable transportation for vehicles and pedestrians, supporting local commerce and community access.

Operates between Belle Chasse and Scarsdale Landings, providing continuous service for vehicles and passengers throughout the day.

Fare & Ticketing*
- Vehicle Toll: $2 per crossing (EXACT CHANGE REQUIRED)
- Pedestrian/Bicycle: Free
- Exemptions:
- Parish residents and registered essential vehicles
- Parish residents are expected to provide a copy of their license or registration showing a parish address to ride without a toll.
- PPSB, PPG, PPFD, Port, and PPSO employees are exempt and should provide a badge as proof of employment.
- Senior Citizens (individuals age 65 years+) are also exempt.
All passengers in vehicles, including children 4 & under, are required to have a ticket to gain entry to the boat.
